In 2006, Dan launched True North Mortgage in Calgary, Alberta, to give Canadians access to the lowest mortgage rates without all the hassle and game-playing that can occur in this industry. In 2016, he started CMHC-approved lender THINK Financial, becoming the first mortgage brokerage to crack this barrier.

Since then, his visionary leadership has propelled True North to fund over $20B in Canadian mortgages, delivering competitive rates and a transparent, hassle-free mortgage service — online and in stores across Canada.

Dan has also served as a founding board member of Odyssey Trust, an OSFI-regulated trust company. Before starting True North, he earned his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and gained valuable experience consulting in the IT industry.

Catherine brings a wealth of knowledge gained from strategic leadership roles across diverse sectors.

Holding an MBA in International Business from the University of Liverpool, Catherine has over 20 years of business management and mortgage lending experience, holding several executive positions. Her mortgage career started in 2006 as an Operations Manager/Risk Analyst with Approved Mortgage Inc., where she honed her analytical skills and developed a keen eye for risk management in the residential mortgage sector.

In 2019, she joined THINK Financial (True North Mortgage) as Treasury and Concierge Loans Manager, playing a key role in spearheading and managing the private lending function — which she now oversees through Morcado Trust.

Chris has been in the mortgage business almost his entire career. Starting with a major bank, he's been with True North Mortgage for over 14 years, learning the mortgage business inside out.

Surmounting tasks, absorbing experience, and gaining titles, Chris went from True North Mortgage Specialist to Store Manager, to Territory Manager, to a successful turn as National Manager.

He brings his deep experience and client-first focus to Lead Mortgage Investment Advisor at Morcado Trust — guiding investors to the ultimate satisfaction of building a successful mortgage portfolio to reach their financial goals.

In 2018, Srinivas joined the True North Mortgage group of companies, continuing his propensity to organize details down to a fine art.

Before that, he was in public practice for 23 years, where he developed sharp oversight and leadership skills. His educational accomplishments include CA, CPA from CPA Alberta, CMA (USA), and CA (India).

As Controller and Chief Compliance Officer, Srinivas is responsible for accounting, management reporting, payroll, and tax compliance.

Bruce is a partner at Bennett Jones LLP in Calgary, Alberta. He practices corporate and securities law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, private capital market offerings, and investment funds.

He also advises companies on matters relating to securities regulation, corporate governance, and continuous disclosure obligations.

Recognized as a leader in his field, Bruce has received many career accolades, including being named one of Canada's 'Leading Lawyers under 40' in the 2016 edition of Lexpert Rising Stars Awards.

He also shares his expertise — publishing articles, teaching Mergers & Acquisitions as a sessional professor at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law, and as a lecturer and panellist on various topics, including hedge funds and alternative investments.

Distinguished for his financial services expertise, Jay's valued guidance demonstrates a pragmatic and strategic approach.

Jay brings vast experience in new business development, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate turnarounds. He was President and co-founder of Odyssey Trust Company. Before that, he was General Manager of Valiant Trust Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian Western Bank.

He also sits on the Boards of Bonterra Energy Corp (BNE-TSX), Mynd Life Sciences (MYND.CN), Haw Capital 2 Corp (HAW-P.V), and Golo Mobile Inc (WLTR-H.V).

Mr. Campbell holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, earned with distinction from the University of Alberta, and an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Michael Sikorsky is an EY Entrepreneur of the Year Winner, Deloitte Fast 500 Recipient (#34), and repeat innovator — he sold his first company to ThoughtWorks at age 28. His current company, Copia Wealth Studios, is a wealth operating system founded in 2021.

Previously, Michael was the CEO and Founder of the firm, Robots & Pencils. He also co-created an innovation process called FunLabs; its first product, 'Missions,' was acquired by Slack. Rita McGrath featured FunLabs in her latest best-selling book, Seeing Around Corners (p 179).

Michael is passionate about education and has guest lectured at HBS, Stanford, MIT, and Columbia Business School. His insights, products, and ideas are often featured in Wired, Financial Times, TechCrunch, and NY Times.

Todd Morstad is the founder and CEO of Approved Mortgage Inc., a residential mortgage investment firm based in Calgary, Alberta.
